I really want to thank Dr. Khoo. After transferring from Columbia Asia Hospital Bukit Jalil to the Cheras branch, another doctor and I underwent a minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for the removal of my uterus and ovaries. Although I had completed all pre-operative preparations, I still cried intensely in front of the doctor the day before the official surgery. However, hearing the doctor reassure me that I would be well taken care of gave me the determination to go for it. Fortunately, the surgery was very successful, and my recovery was good, so I was discharged after three days. Last Thursday during my follow-up appointment, I was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage 3c1 endometrial cancer. However, I was also fortunate that a lymph node metastasis was directly detected. Today, during my follow-up, I was informed that fortunately there was no p53 gene mutation. The surgical incision on my abdomen has also healed beautifully. Compared to those with early gynecological cancer who were not detected and experienced a vengeful recurrence of cancer cells 1-2 years later, I am truly very lucky. Although the subsequent treatment will undoubtedly be challenging, I will definitely follow Dr. Khoo's guidance and take one step at a time to undergo rehabilitation treatment.

The tumour removed from my left ovary was not expected to be cancerous before the surgery and thus the staging process was not complete. I was in a dilemma if a total hysterectomy is needed as adviced by my gynae who did the surgery for me the first time. I have tried to search, hoping to get a second opinion from an experienced gynae-oncologist, and I found Dr. Khoo Boom Ping. Dr. Khoo is one of the friendliest Dr I have ever met. He is the expect in this field but yet he is humble and approachable. He is a caring Dr and it is such a great comfort to talk to him. Dr. Khoo has never failed to display his great patience by answering all my questions and clear my doubts. At the end, my family and I have decided to complete the cancer staging process via minimally invasive surgery which requires meticulous skill and care of a dr. Dr. Khoo has done a great job in the surgery. The smallest opening was only 5mm which has greatly reduced the recovery time for me. It is sad to hear that Dr Khoo has decided to relocate to KL as it will be a great loss for us, citizen of Ipoh. Nevertheless, I wish Dr. Khoo all the best in his future endeavours and I truly believe that he will be a great blessings to those who stay in KL. to make the decision.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Khoo Boom Ping, my Gynae doctor at Columbia Asia, for his expertise, dedication, and sincerity throughout my delivery. 🥰 My sincere thanks also go to all the nursing staff for their kindness, care, and continuous support — you truly made the experience comforting and positive. 🙂I highly recommend this amazing team to anyone seeking maternity consultation or care. However, I hope the hospital can look into improving the parking system for inpatients — it took me more than 30 minutes to exit the hospital parking during my discharge.

Visited Columbia Hospital Bukit Jalil for a gynecological examination with Dr. Khoo. The doctor was very attentive and addressed all gynecological concerns. Dr. Khoo is a Chinese physician specializing in the treatment of cervical cancer, among other conditions. The process was quick. There was also a Malay nurse who was very helpful. You can feel at ease going there. The hospital's prices are also reasonable, and there are currently discounts for gynecological services 👍

My 1st day here was stressful due to an irresponsible neighbour (2 bedded-room sharing) but things turned into an almost perfect stay for us. We are grateful for Mr Mani to assure us of better service which he did, wonderfully. A big thanks to this team here and we like what we saw here. You have win us over. Normally hospital food is rather bland and unassuming, but not in this hospital. Their chef has acknowledged our feedback concerning 'heavily salted' and since then, the meals are absolutely tasty, flavourful and we were just shocked that it comes out so well. Another round of applause to the Catering Team for whipping up Five Star Western Meals on a daily basis, which is our favourite! Just wished this hospital to be consistent in your service for all upcoming patients and your team-members is key to your success. Do take care of your young workforce. A big thanks to - Mr Mani, Puan Siti, Ms Ranveer, MD6 team, Catering Team, Housekeeping Team for ensuring our bins and toilet is cleaned. Cannot name so many names here but in my letter of gratitude to Mr Mani has said it all. I will be back to check on you guys! To the HR Team, pls reward the Nursing Team of MD6. Their hard work deserves a big pat on their already heavy shoulder. Once again, fullest respect and love to Dr Khoo for your wonderful work. To the other Dr Nagapan (anaesthesia), your assessment of her thyroid and explanation prior surgery was very well explained despite the nervousness during surgery day. But, you did it! Hooray! Thanks to all, we are leaving here after 4 nights and will miss your smiles and friendliness. God Bless!
