I’ve always had a sensitive throat growing up. Sore throats, throat inflammations, even throat ulcers were the norm for me. It wasn’t until a few months back that I developed tonsillitis. From August 2024 to December 2024, I had not gone 2 weeks without having a throat issue, despite multiple rounds of antibiotics. If I were to describe how hell felt like, that would be it. After consulting several ENT specialists, I found Dr. David, who despite having a youthful appearance, possesses extensive experience in the ENT field. He quickly diagnosed my condition and provided a clear solution: I had acute tonsillitis, and a tonsillectomy was the only viable option. I was admitted the day itself after the first consultation and had surgery the next. Dr. David was very attentive to my concerns and addressed each of them with professionalism and compassion. The nurses and staff in SVMC provided the best service I could ever ask for. Every process, from consultation and admission to discharge, was handled efficiently and it never felt troublesome to deal with any of them (I would know after multiple appointments in GH). The nursing team was also exceptionally attentive and provided excellent patient care. Post-surgery, Dr. David personally checks up on my condition and scheduled follow-ups to ensure my recovery. It took roughly 2 weeks for me to fully recover, with the first week being absolute hell. It was even more painful than the five months I had suffered prior, but I’d gladly accept the pain if it meant not having it anymore in the long run. Currently 3 months after tonsillectomy and I have yet to have a single throat issue so far. Life is great, I can stuff my face with fried foods (occasionally) and sleep peacefully without fearing that my throat hurts the next morning. I highly recommend Dr. David to anyone experiencing similar throat issues or any ENT-related issues at all. Get yourself checked, tonsillitis is not fun. In a nutshell, Dr. David saved my life.
