I had an excellent experience at Sunway Medical Centre Damansara during the delivery of my child, from check-in to discharge. The staff were warm and attentive, and we found the facilities thoughtfully designed. Small details like the 15-minute drop-off bays and charging points at the registration lounge made things easier. I came in for a planned C-section on a Thursday morning and was attended to promptly, with the medical team ready at the appointed time. This was not my first C-section, but reassurance never loses its value. I remember an attendant asking if I felt cold, then gently slipping a warm blower under my cover in the operating theatre. The anaesthetist, Dr Iman, talked me through the procedure clearly, which I greatly appreciated. The nursery team and maternity nurses were exceptional. They showed great tenderness towards my newborn and kindness towards me, especially during the late-night hours when exhaustion set in. Their tones were kind as they delivered my baby to me around the clock for her feeds, keeping the environment quiet and restful while remaining approachable. The nurses who managed my recovery were equally attentive. One nurse, Kiew, stood out for her meticulous care, ensuring I was clean, comfortable and hydrated without being asked. That level of attentiveness makes a real difference when you are at your most vulnerable. The traditional confinement meals served in a hospital setting were a pleasant surprise and thoroughly enjoyable. We opted for the executive suite, which was spacious and well laid out, with a separate living area that gave my husband space to work while I rested. Space, privacy, and comfort matter when healing, and the suite delivered on all three. The location is also very convenient, right next to the Surian MRT station and surrounded by shops and eateries, making it easy for visiting family. A small but memorable moment: my husband saw the hospital CEO personally serving dessert to staff and patients during the Winter Solstice. It spoke volumes about the culture. Check-out was seamless, with billing and pharmacy handled in-room. This saved us significant time compared to a past experience elsewhere at which my husband spent over an hour going from counter to counter on several floors. We’ve since returned for our children’s check-ups, and the experience has been just as positive. The staff were accommodating in arranging appointments, including with Dr James Kok, and our paediatrician, Dr Yee, who was kind enough to fit in a last-minute consultation. Naturally, the paed floor was quite full on that Saturday but the waiting areas were spacious, clean and well-ventilated. I would recommend this hospital for the consistency of its services and the thoughtfulness of the overall patient experience.

I had a positive experience at SMCD. The doctors and nurses are experienced, understanding and very courteous. I would like to personally express gratitude to Dr Sharina (OBGYN) and Dr Yee (Neonatal and Paed), as well as the nurses at the NICU, nursery and maternity ward for all the guidance and care provided to my family and I. Appointment with dr Yee shyong chay, bring my kids for vaccination . Dr was soft spoken , and nice . The nurses Sera and Wani very helpful and good in handling my baby , while my wife not around , they offered to take care of my baby

We recently had our daughter admitted to Sunway Medical Centre Damansara for 3D2N and were very impressed with the care she received. She was attended by Dr. Yee (Paediatrician), who was incredibly friendly and gentle with her—eventho she was grumpy towards the Dr, lol. The nurses were kind and attentive, always checking in with a smile. Even the food was surprisingly yummy, which made things easier for all of us. The hospital itself is clean, modern, and feels more like a 5-star hotel staycation than a hospital visit. We’re truly grateful for the wonderful care and environment provided. Highly recommended!

I have visited to doctor Dr.Sharina, Dr.Ida , Dr.Yong Mei and Dr.Yee Shyong . They are really nice listeners and providing excellent patient caring. On top of that explaining very well about the current situation and clearing our doubts.
