In 1987, I gave birth to my first child, a baby boy weighing 3.67 kg. At that time, I experienced postpartum hemorrhage, required a blood transfusion, and lost consciousness. After recovering, I continued to live a normal life until I gave birth to my second child in 1988 and the third in 1990. In the year 2000, I began experiencing mild fever and leg pain, especially when walking long distances. The pain persisted but was not severe. In 2003, I experienced fatigue, and my ankles became swollen, prompting me to undergo a health check-up at Putra Medical Centre, Alor Setar, Kedah. At that time, the specialist doctor detected that I had hepatitis C and liver inflammation. A specialist doctor at PMC referred me to Sultanah Asma Hospital in Alor Setar, where it was suggested I undergo a liver biopsy test. However, I declined and opted to try alternative treatments. I sought treatment through a private clinic in Alor Setar using ozone therapy and consulted a homeopathy specialist in Sungai Petani, Kedah. In 2004, I moved to Putrajaya and lived an active life while working until my retirement in 2015. After retiring, I remained active and did not experience any illnesses like fever. In October 2019, I had a severe cough for three weeks. This happened after COVID-19 and after I had completed three rounds of vaccination. At that time, I was sent to the emergency department at UiTM Hospital Al Sultan Abdullah in Puncak Alam and was admitted for three days. I was monitored by Dr. Muhammad Ilham until I was discharged. Since then, I have been receiving follow-up treatments and routine procedures regularly at HuiTM Hospital. For a year, I followed up with HUITM starting in January 2020 until the end of 2021, taking 9 types of medication and undergoing several other medical treatments. My health continued to deteriorate, and I was under the care of a team led by specialist gastroenterologist and hepatologist Dr. Muhammad Ilham and his unit. Throughout the treatment, I underwent multiple blood tests, three endoscopies, two radiological tests (MRIs), a mammogram, ultrasound, CT scan, scopes, and more. Starting in June 2023, I was prescribed antiviral medication for six months, lasting until December 2023. Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God), beginning in January 2024, my health began to improve significantly. On January 8th, I received astonishing news: the Hepatitis C virus in my blood/body was confirmed to be negative. I am deeply grateful for this outcome and extend my heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Al Sultan Abdullah Hospital, especially Dr. Muhammad Ilham Abdul Hafidz, the Consultant for the Gastroenterology & Hepatology Department. Besides the meticulous treatment, I was impressed by the courteous care provided by the ward staff, specialist clinic, pharmacy, nurses, and others. I am proud of the hospital's environment and their patient-friendly services. Now, I am immensely thankful for Allah's will and power, the doctors’ efforts, the prayers of friends and relatives, and, last but not least, my husband, children, in-laws, grandchildren, and my mother, who gave 100% of their financial resources, time, energy, and love during the five years when I was critically ill and fighting for my life. Allah is the Greatest.

I have been receiving treatment from Dr Ilham for the past one year. He made findings about my liver which doctors before him did not and has been an absolute pillar of strength with his kind words and well monitored treatment. I would say that HE IS THE BEST. From the first consultation I had with him in Hospital UiTM Puncak Alam till now, he has always been caring and supportive of my gastrointestinal health as well as my general wellbeing.
