I was hospitalised in June and Oct 2023 and March this year for shoulder surgeries at Columbia Asia Setapak, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received from the entire hospital staff. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the orthopaedic surgeon Dr. YS Yong, whose dedication and expertise always made me feel confident that I was in the best hands. Am also grateful to the anaesthetists, Dr. Joyce Tien and Dr. Rajes, whose reassuring manner made it less daunting when going through the surgeries, and the professionalism and skill made the waking-up process after each surgery incredibly smooth, for which I am immensely thankful. Would also like to express my sincere thanks to Dr Sindhu for her concerns & comforting words. My apologies for not being a very compliant patient. During my hospital stays, the nursing team provided outstanding care. Their attentiveness and compassion made a significant difference in my recovery. A few names that I could remember were Fairuz, Mani, Nor Izzatul Annis, among others. One of them whose name I could not remember but was very grateful to for helping me with the IV line which became swollen and painful. Her skill and assurance was very much appreciated. A special mention goes to Muhamad Azmin from the catering team. His attentiveness to small details in my dining needs was greatly appreciated, having gone out of his way to ensure that I was able to enjoy my meals. His helpfulness and cheerful demeanor also brightened my days and added a personal touch to the excellent service provided by the catering staff. Above all, I am most grateful to the wonderful physiotherapy team who has always demonstrated professionalism and dedication towards all their patients. My recovery journey started with the lovely cheerful physio Syaza, who first treated me before my surgeries, helping me greatly with the exercises and various therapies for the shoulder. After the surgery, Azie took over my rehab and has been treating me for the past ten months. Azie's commitment to my recovery has been truly exceptional. She consistently went above and beyond to ensure that I made steady progress, always finding innovative ways to accelerate my recovery, and varying and adjusting her approaches where necessary to ensure that pain and discomfort were minimal, while pushing me to go further. Beyond her technical skills, Azie provided invaluable emotional support. During moments when I felt discouraged and frustrated by the slow pace of my recovery, she offered gentle encouragement and unwavering patience. Her positive attitude and belief in my ability to recover were incredibly motivating and helped me stay committed to my rehabilitation. Thanks again to the best physio team and especially Azie in helping me throughout my recovery journey. Latest update 13 Feb 26: Being admitted again for another minor surgery with Dr. Sharizan due to slipdisc. Team up together with Dr. Joyce, Dr. Manmohan & Dr. Shantini. All the doctors are very kind & professional. They explanation given was very clear and understandable. Thank you so much to all nurses, staffs at registration counter, admission counter and discharge counter. Feel grateful and highly recommended to seek treatment here 😁👏🏻. 6 Feb 26: Kudos to team MRI & XRay under Radiology (Amalia, Yuwamalar & Maisarah). Great explanation on the procedures. Assalamualaikum and greetings. I gave birth on 30.11.2024 via emergency C-section. Overall, the hospital's service was excellent. The highly experienced and very cool gynecologist, Dr. Suhaimi Hassan, the very supportive anesthesiologist, Dr. Joyce, and the nurses in the labor ward, nursery, and OT were very helpful. Thank you very much. Midwife Tiu, Kak Zura, Zita, Penny, and everyone else took good care of me throughout my stay in the ward. Thank you very much. The emotional support and clear guidance throughout the process, along with words of encouragement, helped me stay calmer. Thank you very much. 🫶🏻♥️

MD 4, Room 91A Doctor Vijayan and Doctor joyce Treatment for batu karang. Very details explaination regarding operation procedure from start till end. Good explaination. All nurses very care about patients. During discharge nurses shasi explain all the details and ensure patients understand all information.

Dr Yong Yuan Shyh is experienced, friendly and patience orthopaedic surgeon. Thanks to Dr Yong, I no longer suffered from knee pain. Dr Yong will make sure his patient understand every situation with clear explanation without medical jargon. Kudos to Dr Joyce Tien too for keeping me calm, comfortable and safe before and during my surgery. Dr Joyce explained how different type of anesthesia procedure clearly in order for me choose the procedure which suits me the most. Lastly, thanks to physiotherapist Shaza and Azie for assisting me on my recovery journey. They make my recovery journey smoothly and I can walk normally just weeks after my surgery 🙂
