I am a beta thalassemia and hypothyroid patient, 36 weeks pregnant, suddenly experienced a water break during the day, then went to KPJ Tawakal in a hurry from the village. After a 2-hour car ride, and 1 hour of examination in the delivery room, the doctor finally managed to deliver my child through surgery. The nurses of the 6th floor often paid attention to my situation, they covered my body with 2 thick blankets, along with a large “warmer pad”, because my body was shivering after the surgery session. Even though I was alone with fear and anxiety in the operating room, the nurses of the 6th floor still took care of me with love and patience, and understood and respected each other’s needs with professionalism and concern.
